Flagstone Walkway and Landing Restoration

We received a call for help to restore this badly damaged flagstone walkway. The walkway and landing were orginally installed in the 1940’s had endured decades of weather and being walked on and needed a complete restoration. JMR went in and reset all loose and broken stone, repointed the mortar joints with a color chosen by the homeowner, cleaned the stone and cleaned and repaired the concrete boarder.

Chimney Restoration X3

JMR repointed and cleaned three chimneys on this 1700’s built brick home. Over the years these chimneys had endured weather that caused the mortar between the brick to deteriorate. This left holes between the brick that allowed water and even small animals to enter the home. Our restoration process included cleaning the brick and repointing the mortar joints to return the brick chimneys to their original appearance and integrity.

1850s Complete Farmhouse Restoration

Our client reached out to us right before Thanksgiving requesting a quote to fully restore his historic farmhouse right outside downtown East Berlin. JMR provided a quote that pleased the homeowner and began work the Monday before thanksgiving. The project included repointing the home 100%, replacing over 100 damaged brick with reclaimed brick to match the existing and rebuilding a portion of the chimney. We also removed an unused antenna and solar dish at the owners request. The entire project and cleanup was completed and cleaned up before Christmas. The homeowners expectations were exeeded

York, PA

First Presbyterian Church of York reached out regarding the entry steps to the Billmeyer House on East Market Street. The steps were original to the structure and badly deteriorated. The steps (and landing) were crumbling and posed as a safety hazard. JMR stepped in, removed the existing steps and replaced them with brand new concrete steps. We used concrete coloring and matched the new steps in color and profile to satisfy the York HARB code and satisfy the church’s vision for the new steps. The tops of the side walls were also cracked and crumbling. Using Jahn sandstone repair mortar we were able to patch and mold the tops and refresh the appearance.
